A good design and well constructed

Having tested fixing the awning to our T5 outside our house, it fits well, is a great size and feels good quality. Its shape is innovative allowing multiple configurations. It's not yet been used 'in the field', but I'm confident it will deliver.

Rail sail

Like me you probably think this is very expensive. But having bought one, it is worth the money compared to the single flat thin sheet most people sell as awnings. The shape enables so many variations of pitching to give you not just sun cover but all sorts of wind and rain cover too. Realistically in our country this is essential. Very well made and cleverly engineered, and gives you that big extension of your van to sit eat and cook outside.

Description

The Kiravans Railsail campervan awning is a sail-cloth type rain and sun shade manufactured in heavy-duty waterproof fabric to attach to the side of your van. The Railsail is a multi-pointed abstract shape so theres no square corners. This means it can be put up in a range of different shapes depending on the set up you want to achieve.

The fabric itself is waterproof and double-stitched with reinforced corners and durable stitched in eyelets. Extra eyelets on each side allow you to attach guylines so you can create rain channels and avoid water from pooling.

Notes on fitting:

The sail-cloth itself is waterproof, but the seam itself is not completely watertight. So please be aware that you may experience some leaking around this area in heavy rain.
